Everyone loves getting Valentine's Day cards. I think it is even more important this year when so many of our loved ones are isolating. It shows those we hold most dear that we are thinking of them. Although the truth is I don't need a holiday to send my mom a card. Her dining room table is covered in my creations.
My mom loves pop-up cards, so I knew I wanted to make her one for Valentine's Day. I came across this adorable SVG file on SVGCuts.com. I had to resize the cut file a little bit because I knew I wanted the mailbox to be sturdy, and my 110 lb. cardstock is 8.5" x 11" and not 12" x 12" called for in the pattern.
I also did not use their score lines. I preferred to score my pieces manually so that there were not any visible cut marks.
The only other thing I added was a protective box.
I found the quality of the SVG cut file easy to work with during construction. SVGCuts also includes PDF instructions and a video tutorial for assembly. I will definitely purchase from them again.
This is the last of my Valentine's Day projects for this year. I hope you enjoyed them. I would love to see what you created in celebration of the holiday. Leave me a link or comment below, and I will be sure to check it out!
