Who doesn't love snowflakes? For me, they take me back to being a teenager. I enjoyed bundling up in warm ski clothes and hitting the slopes. The air was always so crisp, and when mother nature decided to send a flurry of snowflakes, I would head off to the lodge to enjoy a hot cup of cocoa and a warm fire while I watched through the window.
When I found this gorgeous snowflake cardstock, I instantly knew I wanted to pair it with my snowflake border die. Add a bit of gold foil cardstock as a backing, and you have an elegant card. Of course, I couldn't help but opt for a few pearls and a sheer gold ribbon bow.
I'll admit, I thought about gold embossing my sentiment, but even I can't handle that much of a good thing, so I stamped my sentiment in black ink.
I kept the interior of the card simple. I used more of the snowflake cardstock on the left panel, gold foil on the right, with a white stitched cardstock where I can write a personal Christmas message. I wanted to keep the snowflake trend going, so I made sure to use my die border once again on the bottom of the white cardstock.
The overall size of the card is 4.5" wide by 5.5" tall, and for such a vibrant looking card, it was super easy to create using simple dies, a paper cutter, glue, and my Big Shot Express.
Thank you for joining me for my Christmas in July series. I look forward to bringing you a bit more Christmas cheer throughout the month. After all, now is the perfect time to work on creating cards for our loved ones.
