Today I am so excited to showcase the card I designed for a special young lady, my niece, and her new fiancé. As you can imagine, she is beyond happy, and I want to send her a card to commemorate this wonderful time in her life.
The Front Cover Close-Up
There are three panels-- cover, interior left, and interior right-- which I mounted onto white cardstock.
The focal elements I used for the front of the
card are from Cricut Access. The black lace and silver foil are from the cut
file called Rustic Save the Date (#MAD3D74). I modified the
cut file by welding over the pre-existing cut-out to make a solid piece.
The center element was attached with foam
dots to give it more dimension, and is appropriately named, I Thee Wed (#M307A4).
At the corners of the blush cardstock, I applied Nuvo Crystal Drops in Black Ebony. To get the exact placement, I measured in .25" from the top and sides and made a small dot with a pencil. I wanted the drops to be precisely placed so they would line up with the black lace cut-out.

Left, Interior Panel Close-Up
I love the look of this individual panel. I wanted a thick black border, which you will see in the final photos below, so I
cut the black cardstock at 4 7/8" X 6 7/8".
On top of that, I placed a gorgeous debossed rose pattern in silver foil, which
gives it a great metallic look. I liked the fact that it was debossed instead
of the typical embossing. I think we all tend to forget that embossing folders
can be used in reverse, it all depends on how you place your paper.
The Wedding Dress (#M3BFE9), also a Cricut Access design element, is embossed with three different folders. To help you, I listed the names of the folders in the supply section at the end of the blog. I then glued small pearls to accent the skirt. Once again, I used foam dots to elevate the wedding dress for more dimension.

Right, Interior Panel Close-Up
I wanted to have the thick, black border on this panel match the left side, so my bottom mat was cut at 4 7/8" x 6 7/8". The white cardstock mounted on top of it was cut at 4 1/2" x 6 1/2".
I found the sentiment online at craftsuprint.com. They offer thousands of free verses. However, I modified it a bit from the original. I typed it up in a Word document using two different fonts, Glouchester MT and Edwardian
Script. I then printed it out on my Epson Workforce ET-3750. To get a high-quality print, make sure to change your print settings to Premium Presentation Paper in Matte and the quality setting to high.
Now onto the final photos....drum roll, please.....
If you would like to re-create this card as shown, I released my design cut file on Cricut Design Studio publicly and I have listed the information below.
Please bear in mind that I did use Cricut Access images so if you do not have a subscription to Cricut Access, Cricut Design Studio will charge you for those individual elements. For me, the monthly subscription is worth it because I make so many cards. Also, if you have old Cricut cartridges, be sure to contact Customer Support because they will give you access to the images on the cartridges you own to use on Design Studio. You just have to provide them with your cartridge serial numbers so they can verify the information. Customer Service was so helpful and added over 30 cartridges that I had previoulsy bought to my Design Studio account.
Thank you for joining me today. If you like the card or have any questions, please leave a comment! I would love to hear from you. Also, in an effort to be helpful, I have included a material list below.
Have a wonderful day and happy crafting!
